Back At School...

Hey y'all...
I'm still here. I completely forgot about this account @.@
I apologize for neglecting this account...
I've been busy working on my business(thehorchatacrew) with my friend, Closer-To-The-Sun. We're planning on heading to AM2 in June and possibly will also have two other artists joining us
But that's not 'til after this semester is over.Honestly, there's never enough time to really relax. I spent most of my Spring Break working and cleaning. Started some projects that hopefully will get back to in May. I'm really happy with the turnout at Anime Conji. If you did stop by the thehorchatacrew's table, thank you so much. I've been thinking about doing online commissions, but we'll see how this second half of of school semester will do...
BTW, for those who love Copic Markers or ever wanted to use them, there's the Autodesk SketchBook Copic Edition. It's a really interesting program for artists. It was a bit weird at first to use, but it's really fun to play with.
Also, Meelo is the fucking shit. I love him and hope that I will have a child like him.

Warning, this is a rant which contains spoilers... and The Spoiler XP
For those who do not not know about me, I am a geek/nerd... And as one, I read comics. I mainly read a lot from Marvel, especially those with the Young Avengers, Runaways, Deadpool, She-hulks, Spider-Girl and Spider-Man. I also read from other publishers such as Vertigo, IDW, Dark Horse ((sorry if I miss others that I do read...)) and obviously DC. I collect anything from the Teen Titans, Bat-Family, Static, and Green Lantern ((No I will not watch the movie.... that will be another rant, if I feel like typing a bit more.)) Now, I just recently got back into reading comics, and trying to catch up to current issues. Thanks to a lot of places where I can get comics, including some volumes, for really cheap prices, I am getting there...
But when I heard that the publishers are going to do a whole reboot on the universe ((*cough*DC*cough*)) I just want to buy a shotgun. I mean first there's the "Death of Oracle" story arc and then suddenly a new picture on IGN with a revamped Barbara as Batgirl. What the hell?! In my opinions, I liked Cassandra as Batgirl, but seeing her as Black Bat, I can live with it... but I also liked Barbara as Oracle and Stephanie as Batgirl. It was like the female version of Batman and Robin, just with more Estrogen. Ugh, but do they really have to change?! One of my favorite issues that has Batgirl!Steph is the Bruce Wayne: The Road Home - Batgirl. She was simply herself, especially when she slapped Bruce ((lol.)) She'll always be that rebellious one, and if anything happens to her, she will be a rebel. Next is Jason... I did sorta like how he was the insane Red Hood (( the movie was pretty interesting)) but then when I saw how he looked in Batman and Robin #23 (( I think)) my eye twitched. I agree with those who said he looked like Roy (( The Red Arrow.)) In what I saw from the news of the DCU Reboot, he's going to have his own series, "Red Hood and the Outlaws" and on the preview of the cover, it was Starfire, The Red Arrow and Red Hood. I gotta say... weird. The art looks good and I did like Kory and Roy... so I'll be willing to read it, but still... weird. Now, the thing that made me want to actually shoot someone is what is going to happen to my favorite Batman and Robin...

I-It's like ripping a heart... or at least mine T^T Bruce is going back to Gotham and Dick is returning as Nightwing. I mean, yes, Damian is going to be working with his father, but I really really really really liked Dick as Batman and Damian as Robin. The two were really like father and son. Dick may have felt uncomfortable being the role his mentor was, but he was able to do it well. Damian will always be my favorite robin. He's always the one who would go for the kill, and he was just 10. Yes, he's an Al Ghul, but he's also Bruce's son ((and a biological one, finally, for God's sake!!!)) I just think that they should have been Gotham's guardians permanently... or until Damian or Dick gets too old. And what also leaves a bitter note, to me, is Dick's new Nightwing costume.... NO FUCKING FINGERSTRIPES!??!!! HOW THE HELL ARE THERE NO FINGERSTRIPES!?!!! ((sorry, major fangirl...))
This is sorta why I like Marvel. Some of the changes I can handle, especially new costumes. I just don't like how unstable their relationships are, mainly the marriages! At least Billy and Teddy are fine, though Billy's acting stupid again >.> Oh well. Can't wait for the new issues from those series... and probably will cry once I get the new Batman comics T^T.

To some people, I am my real self. To others, I am Pepita.
It is my "pen name" concerning my yaoi/yuri art. I hope one day I will publish a story under that name, but we'll see when that day comes.
